Watch this short pitch shot lesson with Marc Albert, the Senior Instructor at the Dave Pelz Scoring Schools. He talks to Golf Life about hitting short pitch shots near the green.
MORE ABOUT MARC ALBERT
Many times, these shots are the hardest to hit in the game of golf because it requires some finesse. When you are that close to the green, you tend to chunk it because you don’t want to hit it too hard or you skull it because you don’t want to chunk it. These types of shots are nasty! We want to create stable acceleration through the golf ball to get the shot we need.
Marc demonstrates this by using a medicine ball and how the medicine ball allows your body to go back and allows your body to go forward through the golf ball.
