PXG HQ
Alissa recently had the opportunity to visit PXG headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and get a first-hand look at their amazing apparel line and new Gen Five clubs. PXG opened their doors to the new worldwide HQ which included a new 35,000 sqft. facility that has full capabilities of club research, state-of-the-art fitting simulators, and a development area. PXG founder Bob Parsons and his wife Renee have also brought their expertise to the apparel line, creating pieces that are perfect for on and off the course.
Apparel Line
The traditional colors of the apparel line are black, white and gray, but for the spring and summer 2022 collection, they’ve decided to introduce a pop of color with bright orange and navy inspired by the Arizona sunset. The men’s line is big and bold, with a soft tan from the high quality fabrics that they use. These pieces provide breathability and two-way stretch.
Gen Five Clubs
Alissa was able to get fit for a set of the new Gen five clubs. After a few swings, it was determined that the shaft had too much movement and the kick was not correct for her swing speed. The material of the shaft is very important, and going through a fitting experience and getting a shop that fits to your swing is a much better option than buying something generic.
After she switched to a heavier shaft, there was an immediate difference. The shaft stabilized and worked with Alissa’s swing instead of against it. The loft and spin on a driver is the second most important factor, and the most common issue seen in people with drivers is having a shaft that is too stiff.
