1-Club Challenge

1-Club Challenge Alissa Kacar, also known as NewLadyGolfer, takes her friends out to Santaluz Golf Club in San Diego, CA to do the 1-Club Challenge. The 1-Club Challenge is simple. Each member of the group picks a card with a club on it. Whichever club you get, you have to play the entire hole with it, including putting. Alissa, Stephania and Sofia try it out! Golf Challenges Playing golf while adding fun challenges like this is a good way to change things up and enjoy new ways to play. In a 1-Club Challenge like this it also allows you to use a club in many different ways that you normally wouldn't think of. AMERICA'S GOLF FEST ORLANDO - Golf Life

America’s Golf Fest in Orlando was held at Orange Lake Resort for the first time in festival history. Teams from across the globe flew into Florida for some fun and even better golf. The events at this years golf fest were the same: ABOUT THE SCRAMBLE 2 & 4 person scramble teams at the America’s Golf Fest in Orlando competed in two different division (Gross & Net). America’s Golf Festival will be back in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas on August 6th-8th. The 6th annual Golf Fest will host hundreds of golfers to represent their cities, states and countries. In 2019, there were 484 golfers who participated, from 174 cities across the world. Check out the fun at the 2019 Golf Festival! When you register for the Festival, you will receive admission to the Scramble, Long Drive, Hole-in-on, Closest to the pin, and Putting competitions. You will also get a unique gift bag, payouts to those competitions and medallions for the winners! LONG DRIVE COMPETITION Players competed on long drive holes. The longest drives during the competition were awarded prizes. Winners received Visa/Mastercard Gift Cards. Grant Fuhr Celebrity Golf Invitational - Golf Life

Grant recently established his own foundation called the “Grant Fuhr Foundation” where all the proceeds go to the Hazelten Betty Ford Foundation. We went out to Palm Desert to check out the 1st annual Celebrity Invitational. WHO IS GRANT FUHR? Fuhr is a former (Hall of Fame) hockey goaltender. He is best known for his play with the Edmonton Oilers in the 1980’s. He has five Stanley Cups and was named to six All-Star Games. Over the years, Fuhr became quite a historical player being the first black hockey player in the NHL, the first to hold up the Stanley Cup and the first to be inducted into the NHL. More About the Grant Fuhr Foundation In 2019, Grant and his wife Lisa established the Grant Fuhr Foundation and directly supports the Hazelten Betty Ford Foundation. As Grant would tell you, he was the problem child in the 80’s and later would attend the Hazelten Betty Ford to get clean. Now his foundation helps those who are in need of opioid and alcohol addictions.

Grant Fuhr was a Canadian hockey goaltender in the National Hockey League and a former goaltending coach for the Phoenix Coyotes. During his time in the league, Fuhr won a total of five Stanley Cups and was a six-time All-Star. In 2017 he was named to the Top 100 Greatest NHL Players’ in History List and sent a number of first for black hockey players in the NHL. After hockey Grant and his wife Lisa started the Grant Fuhr Foundation in 2019, a non-profit organization, supporting the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in an effort to help story alcohol and opioid addictions. HAZELDEN BETTY FORD FOUNDATION The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs. As the nation’s leading nonprofit provider of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment for adults and youth, the Foundation has 17 locations nationwide and collaborates with an expansive network throughout health care. With a legacy that began in 1949 and includes the 1982 founding of the Betty Ford Center, the Foundation today also encompasses a graduate school of addiction studies, a publishing division, an addiction research center, recovery advocacy and thought leadership, professional and medical education programs, school-based prevention resources and a specialized program for children who grow up in families with addiction. Popstroke Tour Championship - Golf Life

The Popstroke Tour Championship is a putting competition like no other, held at the Tiger Woods designed Popstroke in Sarasota, Florida. Golf Life designed, coordinatied and produced all the coverage, including the national TV distribution on Golf Channel, Bally Sports Network and AT&T Sports Network. Hosted by popular golf teachers Michael Breed (@michaelbreed) and Gavin Parker (@gavinflo), along with social media personality Alissa Kacar (@newladygolfer). This one hour show features a team championship where 400 players from across the US and other countries like Sweden compete for a share of $100,000 and $20,000 for the winners. In addition to the Popstroke Tour Championship team event, we will also feature the TAYLORMADE $25,000 SHOWDOWN where Paula Creamer and Rickie Fowler take on the winners of the Team Championship. This team competition between the putting pros and the tour pros is super interesting and competitive, where the course provides the challenge for both teams the entire round.
