Welcome to Golf Life. I'm joined by Clay Simpson. Clay, you have been in the golf business for quite a long time. You've seen a lot of technology. Let's talk technology in golf. Let's talk about where it's come and where it is today. I mean, in general, it's distance, right? Right. On the golf course, but not always. What are your thoughts? Distance is one. Accuracy, to me, is another, as one who doesn't get to play as much as I'd like to play. Right. Me being in the GPS world, working for SkyCaddie, that question of how far- Right ... was the beginning of it all. How far am I to some place? For the viewer, the idea that you've learned over these years is you started with the GPS, you started on the course with how far, and then SkyTrak came along. Right. And now we started to see ball flight. We started to understand what the club was doing in motion. Mm-hmm. Now you add the tags, and you take it back out on the course. Right. Put all that, and where is-- I mean, you spend a lot of time sitting around with people- ... talking about technology and golf. Right. Where are we going, and how has that all come together as an ecosystem? I think a lot of it is these launch monitors and tags need to work together via the software, so then not only will you have your ball launch data and what your ball is doing after you hit it- Right ... but with our tags, you'll know exactly what your club was doing also. What you're doing- Right ... together. And then you can go back inside with your launch monitor, your simulator set up, and work on your practice- To take that to the outside game ... and have more of a symbiotic relationship, so things aren't so disconnected. I think with where we're at right now, especially with these Super Tags- Yeah ... is going to help a lot of people. The Pro 4X from SkyCaddie- Mm-hmm ... as well as the Pro 5X- Right ... from SkyCaddie. Tell me about these devices as the core of the basis to work from. Okay. These devices have the newest GPS engine and GPS antennas in it. Okay. What they do is these are more accurate than any device we've ever had. And so now we take and we put tags with this. Right. Tell us about that and what the two different setups are and why that's important. We got the SkyCaddie Super Tags, right? And the two different systems is we have a Swing Track system, and that's used for people who are just wanting to go to the driving range and work on their driver per se, right? So they put a tag in their driver, and they go out and they hit some golf balls on the driver. So they're just tracking their swing. Mm-hmm. That's all they're tracking. And then we have what we call the Game Track system. With the Game Track system is you're going to want to club tag on every club in your bag, right? And not only does it give you swing data, but it also tracks your game as you go through. So if I'm on number one tee box, I tee off with a driver, it's going to know that I've got my driver in my hand- Mm ... and it's going to mark it on my GPS unit. Also, it tracks your putts on the green. Okay. So, you can do all that. And then all that data goes into your account online. Online. And it'll tell you what your percentage is of fairway hits, what's your percentages of greens hit in regulation. But you can also play back your hole, too, right, and kind of go through hole to hole and see where you were, what you did- Yes ... and sort of strategize how you played that hole effectively, or if you're having trouble with that hole, where you could improve the next time out. Right. And also, if you have a shot that goes awry there, you can take a 3D view of that shot and look at the different metrics in that shot and see what in your swing made that shot go awry. So this was a driver swing that I had, and you can see it tells me club head speed was 94 miles an hour, what my swing tempo was, what my peak hand speed was, and where did my peak hand speed occur. And this mine said it occurred at 89% in the downswing. It tells me what my shaft lean is at address, and then it gives me a 3D replication of my swing, which I can tap on, and I can turn this swing- Oh, wow ... or I can go from the top of it down, and then I can always play this swing and see. Oh my goodness. Right? I can be using this in my launch monitor. I can interact with this, and then also interact with my launch monitor, even have a video in my setup while I'm practicing- Right ... and then kind of understand that one I flushed. That's with the numbers. Those are the numbers I'm looking for. Mm-hmm. And interpolate those numbers, and now when I go to the course, I can interact at the course level- Right ... using this device to get back to those numbers. The technology today in golf is really, I think it's coming together where it's getting out of our way, and it's starting to get where you can play the game, and then when you need to interact with it- Yes ... it's there for you. Well, Clay, how can people learn more about these great devices, the tags, and get a chance to get that into their game? Go to skygolf.com. Okay. And we have all kinds of tutorials on there to show you how to set the tags up. Well, thanks for all your time today. Yes, sir. Thanks for having me. I appreciate it. Yes, sure appreciate it. Awesome. Get over to skygolf.com.
