That is sure to be exciting and we get a peek at the new model of the fat scooters, which I'm really excited about plus we check out the powerful new technology from swing caddy the GPS unit that they have and we have some fun on the tea box with whole hecklers. That's awesome. And I go out to the but first we check out this amazing program called PGA. Hope they are introducing golf to military vet. Yeah, sounds awesome. Let's go check it out PGA. Hope stands for helping our Patriots everywhere. It is a golf rehabilitative program for veterans reservists and active duty military. Each help program is about six to eight weeks long and they'll come out and learn various different golf skills. They usually get practice facility time both on the Range chipping and putting and then they play golf as well. We're fortunate in Colorado that we have an incredible group of PGA professionals that run. Hope programs across our section each and every one of them have a personal tie and really really deep place in their heart for the military. And so they have started those. Hope programs the passion that they bring to people who need it and people who come into the Hope program searching for that Community searching for that rehabilitative experience is one of the best experiences. I think they could really provide, you know, I've heard a lot of really really great stories from veterans one that really moved me was a recent Story by one of our interns and he is a wounded combat veteran and says that golf actually helped him walk again. I initially found PGA hope while I was in Walter Reed recovering from injuries in Afghanistan prior to my injuries. I wanted nothing to do with golf wasn't a passion of mine or something. I wanted to try because my injuries in Afghanistan. I had to learn how to walk again in my physical therapist prescribed swinging a golf club for that and that resulted in me getting out and Hitting some balls with some veterans out in DC from there. I found PGA. Hope the experience with PGA Hope just allowed me to kind of Find myself again after my injury. I was I was kind of lost didn't know what the future held for me being on the golf course kind of helped me to clear my mind and and just forget about all the mental struggles. I was facing and just play the game of golf. So I contribute my recovery to to PGA hope and the game of golf is very therapeutic in the fact that you can let the day go by whatever you may have been facing whatever you struggles you maybe having it gives you an opportunity to step away from that and just relax and just you know, what breathe, you know, we've all step across that line and you know, we come out here. Yeah, we have different, you know branches but the respect the Brotherhood, you know and just come out here and like say it's a non-threatening environment. It's just fun to be around in addition to being able to meet other veterans form those friendships. It's also just a great way to get out get in the fresh air relax and and enjoy golf. I love the fact that it brings the community together with veterans. We can never have enough opportunities to think veterans. Or the service that they've given our country and if a golf clinic or a day on the golf course and some small way can say thank you. We appreciate everything you've done then. I'm honored to be a part of that. I would encourage anyone who's interested in PGA. Hope both participants and PGA professionals to visit pgareach.org. Look for the PGA hope logo and you can find a involved facility or Find a clinic in your area. Let's catch up with CEO Tim Moran a fat scooters to learn about the newest line of scooters. Hey joining us here on golf life is a very special guest the CEO of fat scooters. Tim Moran Tim. Appreciate you joining us. It's a very special time for fat scooters. You guys are just launching your new scooter. Can we get a sneak peek of the latest and greatest new model. We will be happy to share those photos with you. We're kind of keeping it a secret as we're making a change to some of the signature series items on that vehicle, but the new unit is stronger smoother faster than whatever fat is built before what's the difference that you're gonna see in this new model. We've made several improvements listening to our customer base, both our golf enthusiasts as well as our everyday Riders. So we've added swappable battery. We've improved the battery. We've improved the frame the display. It's really this is really a commercial type unit for both Golf and for the individual Rider and still the same value that that's always provided. It's got the person what sort of feedback did golfers give you that went into the design of this new scooter one of the big things we got Golfers was we needed to improve the gulf carrier. It rattled a little bit. So we've added supports there. So it doesn't make the noise that it did before. We also improved the strap. So it's stronger to get through golf bags. It's a little stiffer. We lightened up the weight and one of the main things was we lifted the gulf carrier a little bit higher so it's easier to access. So if they just are taking it out with their wife to go to the store, they can pull that unit off a lot easier. So we've made quite a few improvements thanks to our golfer enthusiastic when can people pre-order this scooter. So the pre-orders are available right now. We have two offerings. We have a signature series 500 limited edition 500. There's a quite a few improvements that you don't pay for on the new unit. But it's $500 to secure out of that signature 500 or we're gonna be 3995 for the full version of that signature 500. And then the base price on the unit will be about 3600. Those are available today. They can go to fat scooters.com. Well, I encourage everybody to go to fat scooters.com right now get your pre-order in Tim. Really? Appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you Colton. When I was a kid, we used hit golf balls off a bottle why it was teed up high you'd swing up on it. You could kill it hit it forever. Well now there's a teaching Aid called the bottle tea easy to use goes in your bag. What does it do for you? Because it's up in the air my tendency. I don't want to hit down on it. I'm gonna want to get turned come from the inside and catch it slightly on the upswing because if I can do that I launch it up in the air. It's gonna go a lot better plus my path is so much better with that ball sitting up there. So just by putting it on a tee. It changes your mind's perception or the task of what the club has to do, which changes your swing. That's a pretty good teaching a that does all that without you thinking head over to bottle tea dot net. You'll get two bottle teas and two four yards more teeth for 2495 get free shipping now at bottledt.net. The bottle tea gives you a new picture gives you a new feel and it's going to change your swing. It's something you need to have in your back. From the DU Golf Club in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Here's a story of a company that is making golf funnier. I'm a 21 year stand-up comedy vet. I've always wanted to do something different and with the game of golf heckling people in the charity space is so good. And it's so much fun. We make complete sense in this environment. All right pistachio Dustin Johnson, you ready to do this? Oh we're excited. This is Says Mike from accounting. It looks like calf raises. There we go. You almost hit our camera guys just say that's it. I would say that's what we were trying not to achieve. But that's exactly what we achieved. He's just hoping to maintain his Adidas sponsorship after this a bunch of different brands going on there. There's a lot of Brands a lot of Brands. That's a good ball Joe. Look at that thing what we see I'm from people out at golf tournaments is something that we've never seen before. I've played in my Sheriff golf tournaments and after playing in quite a few of them. You kind of see the same things we want to do something that's done on a golf course all the time. When you go out and play golf with your friends. What are you doing have to time you're giving each other a hard time. Why not? Put it right out on the golf course and have fun with the people that are playing but also find a way to put money and and the pockets of these Charities and really help them do something special for their events. Never ready to step up to the tea box Don't Be Afraid. Well Sheamus is stepped up, right he is he's To go. I I feel like I got a feeling like he's probably uses. 70 SPF sunscreen You see what stuff can bust if he didn't. Wow, you swung as hard as you could on that one. Alright, Captain cargo shorts up. Next this is what the skipper looked like when he got off a Gilligan's Island. So while they're teeing off we sit down back down the microphone and we start roasting them and we go right in right away, but we're trying to bring some attention to the distraction to to them and some kind of way once that starts up everybody else starts in now their friends are joining you and that's the reaction you start to see them pick up their phones and their cameras. They start taking pictures and start taking video Don't Focus. You know, they've made golf shoes in the last 30 years that just he got these from Goodwill. It's something I'm not quite sure I like to say it's because he doesn't want to show up his washboard abs but anything it's an app, you can find us at our website, which is whole hecklers.com. What we'd love to be at your next event. We are whole hecklers and we do make golfing funnier. The sky caddy sx550 is the ultimate tour book. Here's Mike Billingsley from the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club. Here on golflife. We want to welcome back Sky golf is a partner to help bring the show to you. And we want to tell you about their new product the sx550. Now, this is a premium tour book for everybody to get better at the game. It gives you much more than just one number. It doesn't take tax. It doesn't get on social media. It gives you numbers you need to get better at golf Colton's out on the course right now to show you some of the top features. So the sky caddy is not just for the better player. It's for everybody. It's a great tool that you can use to help you learn the game of golf and strategize. So we're here on number nine at Green Valley Ranch. We're with the sky caddy it suggesting that we go down the left side of this par five here with the cursor. I'm going to move it now with intellipath the run out is gonna be 301 and I think I'm gonna have too much Club. So I'm gonna see what it's gonna take to get over this Creek over here and if we zoom in which looks like we got 260 I have that in the bag and now we got 202 in to the green and I'm Gonna Be On a par five and two That's the best case scenario in addition the sky caddy can map out a scenario or strategy for us. So if we get our Rings here, this is programmed to the average golfer the risk reward here is not good as far as using your driver to get over that Creek. So we're gonna move this cursor down here to this left side of the Fairway and I'm going to see what those distances are. You might not hit your three wood. Very good. Why not just drop down to your three hybrid or your fly iron have some consistency. And now if I take the Rings out, I have 288 hit 2 hybrids or two irons and have a wedge shot in for a nice birdie opportunity. We're gonna find out a little bit more of the features that this baby has second shot what I love about this guy caddy is it gives you aiming points? It gives you numbers that you can kind of digest this hole with if I'm looking at this whole my initial thought is to go straight, right? You're gonna run out of Fairway with this to 31 runoff. So I'm gonna move it a little bit more to the left and go right over those bunkers now, I got 189 to cover the bunker and now my aiming Point allows me to have that run off and stay in the freeway and score better. This is a great tool to map out your hole by hole scenarios and strategies and name better. Now, let's see three very different shoe companies. That should be on your feet next round. Don't go anywhere because we're on the back nine with golf life when we return. From Scotland. Here's Leslie Atkins and what her golf life looked like in the past and what it is now. Joining us from Scotland is a friend of ours Leslie Adkins Leslie. Appreciate you joining us. You have a pretty unique story of how you got into golf. What's that all about? Yes, so I started Golf when I was eight years old. I haven't played so I wanted to join in on the fun. So I'd only gone to the range maybe once or twice and my mom took me to what she thought was a golf coaching session. So we show up at the coaching session, but it's actually a tournament. So my mom was like, well you're here. So you might as well play in it. So I played in the tournament and I actually won it so I went to the next round and then the Grand Final and I I won the whole tournament that year and then they told me I was part of the Jeep and I team to represent my country in the US kids Golf, World Championships. So that was my first year of golf and you can imagine that I just practiced lots and I just actually I love the games so much. Yeah, so you then you took your talents to Louisiana you Louisiana Monroe you played college as far as women's golf goes, you know, what do you think the state of women's golf is right now. I definitely think it's getting better. We still have a long way to go. But I think you know more women are watching golf more women are playing golf, but we could definitely get more girls women involved in this Sport and that's definitely something that I'm pushing to do as well. But we're definitely heading the right direction. You know if if a girl comes to a young girl, you know, maybe that the eight year old just showing up to the range. What advice would you give her to start enjoying the game and get into the game for a long period of time? Hey, thanks and most important thing is to have fun. It's it's all about fun. You don't want to just stop enjoying it. You want to go out there and just you can play with your friends play little games, but the most important thing it's just to be happy and I I was happy when I was younger. So that just me out in the golf course, but you also want to work hard and keep grinding and if you have a bad day, don't worry about it because there's gonna be plenty of good days out there. But as long as you're enjoying it, that's the most important part. All right, Leslie little bit of Rapid Fire. You ready? Yeah. Let's yeah favorite golfer Tiger Wood favorite course in Scotland at the moment North Barrack favorite, of course in the United States. I like Tobacco Road in North Carolina favorite Club to hear my Putter and my driver. What's your lowest score that you ever had at 65 and have you ever hit a whole one? Yeah. I'm actually had two so and very lucky with that. What did you do when you hit your first hole and wanted to freak out so it was an elevated. And so I didn't know that it went in. So I I didn't I didn't I didn't see the shot go in but when I went up the whole I saw that it was in and I think I probably ran around the green. I was 13. So I was really excited. That's amazing. Well, Leslie, really appreciate joining us. I encourage everybody to go check out Leslie on Instagram. Go check out her content. We really appreciate you joining us. Thank you. We asked a few golfers to try out the swing jacket for themselves to see how and why the swing jacket can help get your swing going in the right direction. Here's what they thought. Well Dave identified that my path comes a little from the outside and I scoop it a little bit and that that creates the high right shot. I've been fighting my whole life. So I put the swing jacket on and within two swings. I started hitting little tight draws, which I haven't seen since I was 18 years old. I'd love to share the swing jacket with some of my friends and see how they Do in it, especially my couple buddies that fight the same thing that I do, which is that that ball at Fades right off into the bushes take the biggest problem that every golfer especially as you get older. I'm going to say probably eight out of 10 golfers slice the ball don't fade the bowl. This is a device to allow you to learn how to hit the ball straight over the drawer. I would use in a practice session and if they let me cheat I may use it on the golf course. I don't know. If you start right, you can finish right? Well the swing jacket just kind of made me slow things down a little bit to really focus on just having fun and focusing on the ball and the jacket just kind of led me through that. So when I went back in my backswing I went forward I just was focusing on that and didn't really feel it and it just went straight. It was great having an instructor out here helping me with my swing but having the jacket and kind of going through the motion and being able to take the jacket with me knowing I can practice at any time is a really good feeling makes me feel good about my game. if you're looking for a quick easy and efficient way to stay connected throughout the golf swing give swing jacket a try head over to swing jacket.com right now to start improving those scores today swing jacket.com on the other side.
