Bryan Geiberger: Steps to a Great Setup

For newer golfers, the setup is what causes the most impact when it comes to hitting a golf ball where you want it to go. A lot of people are unsure of how to set up properly to a golf ball. Bryan Geiberger of the Crossings @ Carlsbad gives us FIVE easy steps to take to ensure a consistent, but successful setup each and every time. Do this with Bryan a couple of times and it will become second nature to you! Bryan is an instructor at The Crossings and he works a lot with Juniors and golfers who are newer to the game. The confidence, consistency, and improvement rate increases if you have your setup in the right positions.

The Lesson

Geiberger explains that the setup should form the letters “I”, “Y”, “A”, and “L” in order to ensure a successful swing with a toe tap at the end of the swing. He also suggests using an alignment stick to help keep the body centered and to help with contact. Once you swing through your body should be on the front side of the alignment stick. The final method includes a club twirl in order to keep good arm structure instead of allowing yourself to collapse.

The Benefits

The golf setup lesson offered by Bryan Geiberger at the Crossings at Carlsbad is beneficial for beginners and juniors who are looking to improve their golf game. By following the instructions and using the techniques, golfers can ensure that they have a good foundation for their golf swing and can hit better shots with more consistency.
