Phat Scooters
When you talk to golf course executives and owners about vehicles on the golf courses there is always two things on their mind; 1). Does it tear up the golf course? 2.) Are they safe? We have had a chance to ride the Scooters anywhere and everywhere throughout the years and one thing we can truly say is that they are some of the safest vehicles on and off the golf course. Yes they only have two wheels and they look fairly scary to the average person, but there are many golf course executives that say more people are getting hurt on golf carts rather than the scooters.
Golf courses around the world have been using phat scooters and solo riding vehicles to replace traditional golf carts, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive. According to one golf course manager who has been working in the Gulf space for 20 years, the number of accidents has been far less with these new vehicles than with traditional golf carts. We chat with a couple of course pros and GM’s to find out what they think about safety and liability when it comes to the scooters on their course!
Benefits of Phat Scooters
The golf course manager noted that people are being smart with the vehicles and that they are taking the necessary precautions to ensure safety. He also suggested that providing some training in the staging area before a member takes the vehicle out for the first time is beneficial.
The manager also noted that even some of the senior members of the golf course have been able to ride the vehicles with ease, and that it appeals to a broader age range of members.
