The G812 Driver From PING

PING has just released the new G812 Driver, specifically made for the junior golfer. The junior golfer usually plays golf with their parent’s cut-down driver. Those days are now behind us thanks to the custom engineering from PING. This specific driver gives you a significant increase in distance and forgiveness off the tee. The G812 caters to the 8-12-year-old golfers. PING has been very specific when it comes to the age of the golfer using the driver because the shaft, head, length, and swing weight are carefully optimized for that target golfer to achieve a much higher launch angle and to lower the spin for more distance in their drives.

BUT, the G812 Driver is made with many of the same technology that the big-boy drivers have. This includes the Dragonfly Technology, the Crown Turbulators, and club face hotness.

In testing, the G812 Driver out-performed the other industry-leading junior drivers by more than 3.0MPH ball speed, 15 yards in distance, and a 50% higher MOI rating. At the end of the day, the most common problem with junior golfers is they can’t get the ball in the air and they don’t keep in on the fairway. This driver, however, is specifically designed to get the ball in the air quickly, and straight, for better tee shots.

It is a total confidence booster for the young golfer. As an older golfer, golf becomes more and more frustrating. Having clubs and drivers like this will keep the junior golfer in the game longer, keeping more and more golfers in golf for a longer period of time!
