Peter Senior Putting Tip

Peter Senior was born in Singapore and turned professional in 1978. Over the years he has participated in the and PGA Tours. Most recently though, he has seen success on the Champions Tour. He doesn’t make his money by hitting the golf ball a country mile. He makes is money with the flat stick. He has made a name for himself in the golfing world by consistently being one of the best putters in golf. If you ask Peter Senior, he would tell you that his success on the greens didn’t come easy. He worked hard each and every year to master the art of putting. Golf Life caught up with Peter Senior at a Champions Tour event in Arizona where he gave us a putting tip that will help you get ready for your round and become a better long distance putter.

There are hundreds, if not thousands of putting tips for putts under 10 feet. How many times do you see a putting tip that helps you with the 50-60 foot putts? Peter Senior says the most important part of putting is eliminating the three putts as much as possible. In order to become confident in your long range putting, you have to practice at it. In Peter Senior’s pre-round putting routine he goes to the practice green and putts at every hole at 10 feet or shorter. He does this for about 40 min. Then, he picks the hole farthest away and tries to two-putt as many times as he can.

Watch the magic happen right before your eyes in this pre-round putting tip with Peter Senior. You will not only prepare for your round but you will get better at golf if you take the time and do what Peter does!
